A parliamentary panel has recommended to the road transport and highways ministry to develop a mobile application or portal to enable road users to report potholes and put a mechanism in place to ensure timely action to fix them. About six people die on Indian roads daily due to pothole-related accidents, according to data of 2018. The figures for 2019 are yet to be out.
