Centre sets up permanent panel to tackle Delhi-NCR air pollution

After a succession of committees and court directions failed to halt deterioration in the capital’s air quality, the Centre has decided to set up a new commission armed with powers of enforcement and mitigation that promises to take another stab, hopefully with better results, in cleaning the air.
