One of Pakistan’s most celebrated voices, Noor Jehan was revered for her singing ability much like Lata Mangeshkar was in India. Noor Jehan had a brief career in Indian films between 1942 and 1948, but that was cut short by the partition and her choice to settle in Pakistan. While she was in Mumbai, Noor Jehan worked in memorable movies like Jugnu, Mela and Anmol Ghadi.
