NDA's Droupadi Murmu vs opposition's Yashwant Sinha: Battlelines drawn for presidential election

The battlelines for the presidential election have been drawn. The contest will be between the ruling BJP-led NDA’s Droupadi Murmu and opposition’s Yashwant Sinha. Murmu’s name as the NDA candidate was announced late Tuesday evening by BJP president JP Nadda at a press conference at the party headquarters after a meeting of senior leaders. He said Murmu’s candidature was selected among 20 candidates whose names had been short-listed.
