'Can't take beatings anymore': Indian in New York sends dad video of hubby's abuse, kills self

A Bijnor-born woman living in New York since 2018 killed herself shortly after sending a heart-wrenching video to her father inIndia saying she “couldn’t take the daily beatings (at the hands of her husband) anymore”. Though the video was sent on August 1, details of the sordid case are tumbling out now. A mother of two girls, she was allegedly tortured for “not being able to produce a male child” and for bringing inadequate dowry. The video sparked anger in the US and India.
