Union home minister Amit Shah gets bulletproof shield removed at Baramulla rally, meets slain cop’s family in Uri

Union home minister Amit Shah got the bulletproof shield removed before addressing a rally at Baramulla in north Kashmir on Wednesday, saying he wished to speak to the people directly. Shah later visited Uri and met the family of Mudasir Sheikh, a policeman who had died during an encounter in Baramulla in May, and assured them of all possible support from the government.
