Move on sedition law may happen in winter session, government tells Supreme Court

At the outset of the hearing, attorney general K Venkataramani told a bench of Chief Justice UU Lalit, Justices S Ravindra Bhat and Bela M Trivedi that the provision pertaining to sedition may change and pleaded that hearing be deferred as the issue was “engaging the attention of the relevant authority”.
