In supplementary chargesheet filed in a bank fraud case related to absconding businessman Vijay Mallya, the CBI has named Buddhadev Dasgupta, the then general manager of IDBI Bank, as an accused and alleged that he manipulated the records to help now defunct Kingfisher Airlines to avail Rs 150 crore loan. The CBI said Mallya spent a part of the funds on his luxurious lifestyle and he didn’t repay the loan despite having adequate money.
