Senior officers from ministries and central government departments have been asked to visit villages near the northern border in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh. The aim is to assess the challenges faced by the people living in these villages and identify gaps in implementation and planning. The visits are part of the government's Vibrant Villages Programme, which aims to comprehensively develop select villages in border areas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the importance of these villages and urged states to assign their best officers to these areas.
