The parliamentary committee responsible for reviewing the 'Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2021,' which proposes increasing the age of marriage for women from 18 to 21, aligning it with the age for men, has been granted an additional extension by Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. According to the parliamentary bulletin, the committee has been granted a four-month extension until May to study the matter and present its report.
