Kneading hope into women through co-op work, Lijjat turns 65

Nanda Anand Asande works for Shri Mahila Griha Udyog Lijjat Papad, a women-led cooperative producing Lijjat papad, among other snacks. Founded in 1959, the organization operates across India, empowering 45,000 women. Members like Asande roll papads at home, earning around Rs 10,000 monthly, which allows them to support their families and achieve self-reliance.
